All Saints Outreach Work Day & Street Ministry
May 4, 2011
Join us Saturday, May 7th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in Ballard Hall for Outreach Work Day.
We will be assembling All Saints Blessing Bags and Hygiene Kits for San Antonio’s homeless. Our goal is to assemble 100 bags and 100 hygiene kits each.
You can also learn how to crochet sleeping mats for the homeless from plastic bags and/or help assist in preparing the bags.
We are seeking donations of plastic bags, money, and/or items that are part of the contents of the blessing bags and hygiene kits.
We also need volunteers to assist with street ministry to the homeless on Sunday, May 8, at 1:00 PM in downtown San Antonio. Volunteers will assist with distribution of the All Saints Blessing Bags, Hygiene Kits and Sleeping Mats made during the All Saints Outreach Work Day. We’ll be leaving from the church shortly after the 11:15 am service.

Got something to say?

This is a great idea. Please post a complete list of items included in the blessing bags so I can make some at home to give out when I’m driving around town.
Is a list of local homeless resources included? If so, could you post or email me the PDF? However, one item I will skip in my care bags is the proselytizing literature.
Good luck.
Jason,
You are welcome to come by the parish any Sunday and meet our ministry team. They will be glad to answer your questions.
