Update 01/16/2018: the Anglican podcast discussed in the original post is no more, as the primary host converted to Eastern Orthodoxy. My follow-up post for TNAA can be found here.
Now that the new website is up, I plan on posting some new blog content regularly. In the meantime, I recently wrote a two-part response for the North American Anglican to some questions for catholic-minded Anglicans from an Eastern Orthodox priest. You can read part one here, and part two here.
As you read the essay note how I appealed primarily to Scripture, secondarily to the Church Fathers and practices of the first few centuries, and thirdly to the Anglican Formularies. The Fathers and the Formularies are subordinate to Scripture, but not irrelevant. That’s the way Anglicans have historically done theology, and we’ve long argued that by being part of the Reformation, it actually brought us back to Catholicity in the oldest and truest sense of the term.
Enjoy!
